Most recently, I successfully led a re-engineering and enhancement effort to upgrade a complex weatherization program, written in Microsoft Excel, to a web-based AJAX application, utilizing a SQL Server back-end. The website was ultimately approved for production use by the U.S. Department of Energy, meeting the client's deadline.

I designed and implemented a web-based, AJAX enabled, knowledge bank for a local marketing company's client as part of a larger marketplace branding campaign. The knowledge bank is currently used to promote vital product and marketing information to sales team members, making them more effective and ultimately increasing the client's market share.

After performing a thorough technology audit, I successfully completed an IT roadmap for the modernization of a major component of the Idaho Housing and Finance Association's (IHFA) business process. The roadmap includes technology and security best practices, and utilization of Microsoft technology such as SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SharePoint.

I designed and implemented a modern and attractive website targeted towards child care facilities in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environment. The website includes a secure parent login, enabling parents to securely view their children with a real-time camera feed over the Internet. The website has been deployed at several child care facilities, giving those companies competitive features and attracting new parents.

To increase market share for a leading structural and civil engineering company, I designed, implemented and deployed a LAMP-based website that includes a portfolio management system that enables publishing of their extensive structural and civil engineering work history to the website, as well as to downloadable PDF files.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Itron, I was responsible for design, implementation, enhancements and maintenance of complex software systems that support Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) devices. The AMR devices were deployed in the field and communicated over the telephone network using telephony.

I led a team of engineers in creating next generation software with a Microsoft SQL Server back-end and a Microsoft Visual C++ front-end.

I performed extensive software design documentation utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML).

I successfully completed classes in project management and Microsoft Visual C++ object-oriented programming.

Because of my work, the company was able to expand into telephone-based AMR markets previously unavailable to them.
